Having graduated from Hope College in 1990 and then living in such exotic places such as Ann Arbor, Michigan, Lynchburg, Virginia, and Biloxi, Mississippi, Kate was thrilled to return to Hope as faculty in 2002. She is currently teaching Calculus with Review and Understanding Our Quantitative World.

Outside the college

In addition to teaching math, Kate also co-teaches a women's yoga-kickboxing class at Park Christian Reformed Church. She and her husband enjoy camping and hiking. When they can get their two adult children to join them, they'll even do some backpacking!
