Kristin Diekevers ’07 started in Admissions in July 2007, soon after graduating from Hope. Her recruitment responsibilities include managing a territory, traveling to meet students at their high schools and college fairs, meeting with families when they visit campus and active outreach with prospective students.

Why I Love Hope

Kristin believes that Hope is a place where challenge spurs growth in body, mind and spirit. She is inspired by the community: the people, the accomplishments, the compassion and the deep roots. She is proud to wear her alma mater's apparel and gets the not-infrequent "Go Hope!" from complete strangers.

Outside the College

Kristin most loves experiencing new things and new places with family and friends. Even after living in Holland for 10 years, she still makes new discoveries each year. When traveling, Kristin and her husband are happiest near friendly people, nature and water. It has been a particular joy for Kristin to experience the world through her two children's eyes and see the wonder they find in the most simple things.

She likes being active: dance, basketball, volleyball, running, hiking and biking while afterwards cooling down with a good book (especially historical fiction and Brit lit). Kristin is a lifelong learner, so any time she can make it to a theatre or dance performance, concert, insightful lecture or watch a well-done documentary, she’s happy. Kristin is also an advisor for the Sigma Iota Beta sorority at Hope.
